We were never meant to simply 'survive' in this life!  We were created to 'thrive!'  We were created in the image of God, designed for a purpose, gifted by the Holy Spirit, forgiven and set free, not so we could survive but so we could thrive!  When we thrive in this life, we are worshipping God!  But that's not to say that every day will be easy!  We will hurt!  We will be angry! We will mourn!  These are emotions that God created for us so we shouldn't run from them.  But we can't allow them to rule us either.  

  Here is a sentence that can change your life!  I encourage you to write it down and post it somewhere in your house or car!

  That may sound utterly ridiculous but that's probably because you are used to looking at the world around you with eyes of this world.  In order for our lives to be lives of Worship, then we have to ask God to give us spiritual eyes, eyes that see things backwards!  If you were to read this sentence backwards with spiritual eyes you would find it to read:

I saw a peek but God was on top!

  The Word of God tells us that He has already won His fight with Death and the grave!  Therefore He is on top!  Sure we hurt and get angry but in the end, we don't have to allow that emotion to rule our lives because God is on top!  

 Don't allow the circumstances of this world to overshadow God's goodness!  Allow emotions into your life!  Experience life and the lives of those around you!  But never allow what you feel to dictate who God is.  Allow who God is to overflow into how you feel!
